We live in truly interesting times and I now have no doubt that if someone has virtually unlimited resources and personnel they can accomplish anything.

I think now that we have come to a point after Service Pack 1 for Vista and some of the new hardware on the market that we can make a more fair assessment of what Vista is and is not.

If you want to automatically log on to Windows and still have account privileges for your domain or other network share credentials here's how.

 I want to be able to switch operating systems with a single click.

In an earlier blog I went on about the coolness of Windows Server 2008 and about how I intend to use it for my main productivity OS.

My last post was intended to be a post about how cool this new site Hulu.com is. But, as I said there it made me think how all good things never seem to last... I still miss Webvan. Anyway, less I go off on some other rant, Hulu is cool... right now. Basically it is video on demand TV over the Internet. But, the cool part is first the amount of content there now, just after going live, and second the fact that it is "free"; not counting the minimal advertising in the video, and of course the cash you dished out for your uber computer hardware and Internet access. I like the potential here. But the bottom line is the bottom line. I'll be watching the site, literally, to see how this grows, or declines.  You can watch what I have on my watch list here.

I have become a bit jaded about the next "really cool" thing when it comes to the Internet and computers. I can also attest to the theory that the true path to becoming a Luddite is not under exposure to technology but over exposure.

Social Networking has become the new catch phrase of the "cool" people in Internet technology circles. Slap the phrase Web 2.0 on top of that and one may be lead to believe that the species is on the verge entering some new plain of existence.

So far so good; up and running. I can tell you strait up that this was one of the smoothest installations I've done on a new OS, and I had very low expectations after Vista.

So I have finally made the transition from my beloved Community Starter Kit to the almost newest version of DNN.
